Our San Francisco office is looking for a Marketing Associate for its Financial Services team. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze new and renewal submissions and provide market selection
  • Determine coverage needs and develop proposals
  • Select markets and send the proposal to various companies for selected accounts
  • Negotiate terms and prices and send the quote to the agent
  • Develop some own sources of business
  • Broker small accounts
  • Bind the policy with markets and prepare the file for servicing by the team (general organization and explanation of any subject to items)
  • Marketing support and customer assistance
  • Receive and respond to calls/requests concerning problems, delays, discrepancies, etc. and provide resolution so that all parties are satisfied
  • Stay current on changes/trends in the marketplace, market appetites, and new markets
  • Maintain knowledge of coverage forms and possess the ability to provide coverage comparisons between markets

Necessary Skills/Attributes:

  • Knowledge of E&O (MedMal, Lawyers Liability etc.) D&O and EPLI coverage
  • Ability to interact and develop relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Proficient computer knowledge including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and C-Biz (WinBroker)
  • Accomplished communication and analytical skills
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Organized and able to multi-task

Candidates should have a broad knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures related to insurance brokerage.  Desired candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years marketing or underwriting of D & O, E & O, EPLI, Med Mal.
