Prior to joining Colemont, Gary held the position of Regional Underwriting Manager for Guilford Specialty Group. In this position he was responsible for establishing their Eastern Region middle market "Submit" division with a focus on general liability and packages. Preceeding Guilford, he was Assistant Vice President for Citigroup's foreign insurance subsidiary, CitiInsurance, where he was responsible for developing the bank's foreign insurance cross sales capabilities. He was Chief International Underwriting Officer and National Director at Travelers Insurance Company where he was responsible for building their middle market commercial home-foreign programs and also served as Regional Property & Casualty Underwriting Officer where he was responsible for underwriting oversight of Travelers New England region. Gary has earned his CPCU, CRIS and ASLI designations.

Prior to joining Colemont, John was a Managing Director of St. Paul Companies where he was responsible for underwriting, marketing, claims, and administration for the upstate New York territory. He also held the position of Commercial Lines Managing Director for USF&G Insurance Company. John began his insurance career in 1983 at Travelers, and served as a Regional Vice President for western New York while there. He is responsible for all aspects of agency marketing and coordination in the upstate New York territory.

In addition, he has a special focus on the petroleum and courier industries, and he has extensive experience in program management and purchasing group placements. John joined Colemont in 2000.
