Information Required to Quote Hired & Non-Owned Auto Insurance for Food Delivery:

  • Completed, signed, and dated Colemont hired/non-owned (H/NO) auto application.
  • Five years of currently valued loss experience pertaining to the H/NO coverage.
  • Copy of the driver’s safety manual or the insured’s written driver’s instructions.
  • Expiration date of the insured’s H/NO auto coverage.

Note:

  • Quotes will not be given on accounts that have a lapse in coverage - proper H/NO auto coverage required.
  • Food delivery accounts that are non-pizza require a minimum of three years in business and loss experience evidencing coverage for those years.

Ineligible States:

  • H/NO auto coverage is unavailable in Hawaii, Louisiana, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.
  • New York state locations are eligible, provided the mailing address of the account is not in New York and the New York exposures are a small portion of the overall account.

Rules for Binding:

  • The earliest binding of H/NO auto coverage is one day following receipt of the request.
  • There can be no lapse in coverage. This pertains to both new entities and new locations.

Information Necessary for Binding:
Five years of currently valued hard copy loss runs are required, unless the account is a start up operation or part of a master policy program. If a start up, a written description of the owner’s past experience in food delivery management is required. If part of a master program, the insured must list any losses on the application, as they will become part of the policy.
